3 hrs= taking pictures

4 hrs= buying, cutting, and matting pieces on matt board

6 hrs.= Completing Compositions
I fixed a couple compositions, as well as completed a few new ones. This includes new pictures and insecurity sheets.
3 hrs.= Deciding on New Matting Idea, Sketching, and Shopping
I decided that for my final critique I will have at least 20 compositions completed; however, I will either only matt and hang 9 or 16 so that they are hung in a perfect square.

I spent a couple planning times to photograph subjects. Each person was in multiple photos with different layouts and lighting.
7 hrs= Painting, Drawing, Transferring, Coloring
I took the drawings and the personal “insecurities” sheets and created different compositions.

I took time to set up meetings with the people posing in the photos, thought about compositions, and narrowed down different photos and figured out the most effective ones.
5 hrs= DRAWINGS
I tried out a couple different techniques and different mediums. I continued to used the same color palate (red, black, brown) in the compositions i completed.

I used transfers and multi-mediums to create both the portraits and their environments
1 hr= Taking 2 Photos for Upcoming Compositions
2 hrs= Setting up Times for Photo-shoots, Getting Insecurities Sheets, and thinking about compositions and layouts

2 hrs.= Going to a couple different stores looking for wintergreen oil for the transfers.
2 hrs.= Setting up times for photo-shoots from insecurities sheets already obtained.

I thought about ideas for “subject matter” for the overall project. How can I use each person’s personal objects to exemplify their insecurities. A lot of guys had problems opening up and revealing their insecurities and it lead to more things related to fears and the emotions that come from those.

I have a new idea of creating the portraits on panels in the dark, hanging them from the ceiling with some sort of hanging lights in order to create a hallway that narrows as it reaches the back. In the back, there is a curtain that you pull...

I really did not enjoy this experience, and it was hard for me to stay focused reading it. I thought there was some good points, most of which i already knew but it just brought it to light. It did however encourage me to stick with art even when it gets hard or difficult.

First i created one on Blogger and spent about an hour looking for a layout that i liked. I was having trouble finding one that worked and tried 4 different codes for layouts. Cameron told me about Tumblr and I created an account on here. This blog site is a whole lot easier and more organized.
